• MEMORIAL TO THE SOLDIERS OF THE 11TH LINE REGIMENT
• Historical Background
• The first monument commemorating the fallen soldiers of the First World War was inaugurated in 1921.
• Following the Second World War, the monument was relocated in 1948 from the Herkenrode Barracks to Guldensporenplein.
• In 1956, it was expanded to also honour the members of the 11th Line Regiment who perished during WWII.
• The monument thus maintains a close historical connection with the Dusart Barracks.
