- MEMORIAL TO THE SOLDIERS OF THE 11TH LINE REGIMENT
- Historical Background
- The first monument commemorating the fallen soldiers of the First World War was inaugurated in 1921.
- Following the Second World War, the monument was relocated in 1948 from the Herkenrode Barracks to Guldensporenplein.
- In 1956, it was expanded to also honour the members of the 11th Line Regiment who perished during WWII.
- The monument thus maintains a close historical connection with the Dusart Barracks.
