• Bronze statue on Koning Albertstraat, created by artist Gaston Beerden and installed in July 1981.
• It pays tribute to the farmers and farmer’s wives who brought their goods to the Hasselt market.
• Originally placed on a pedestal, it was damaged in January 2020 and reinstalled in August 2020 in a wooden bench (no. 17) for better protection against traffic.
