- Symbolism and Purpose
- This sculpture serves as a tribute to all women who have suffered or continue to suffer in times of war and conflict. It honours not only those who served as soldiers, but also the countless women in civilian roles — mothers, nurses, caregivers, and children.
- While it acknowledges their suffering, the monument also highlights the resilience and strength of women, recognizing their essential role in sustaining society amid hardship.
- Each year, on 11 November, a peace vigil is held at this monument, organized by Pax Christi.
