- SPECULAAS WOMAN
- The Speculaas Woman (Speculaasvrouwtje) is a bronze statue in Hasselt, unveiled on May 9, 2015, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Order of the Hasselt Speculaas. The statue was donated to the city by the Order and is located behind the Town Hall, next to the Speculaas Man (Speculaasmannetje) in Witte Nonnenstraat.
- The sculpture was created by Hasselt artist Gerard Moonen, well known for his many statues throughout the city. The Speculaas Woman serves as the female counterpart to the Speculaas Man, honoring the women bakers and their role in Hasselt’s speculaas tradition.
